To restore the last delete operation that has taken place.

Files in Windows and Mac can generally be undeleted because they are only moved to the recycle bin or trash can when they are deleted in an application or file manager.

A computer chip installed in a television to allow the user to control the display of certain programs, especially of sexual or violent content.

USB flash drive

A flash memory data storage device integrated with a USB interface.

floppy disk


n.

A flexible plastic disk coated with magnetic material and covered by a protective jacket, used primarily by computers to store data magnetically.

Also called floppy or diskette.

ewaste

Electronic waste. Discarded computers, monitors, mobile phones and other electronic equipment.

Also: eWaste, e-waste or Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

Ewaste is a waste type consisting of any broken or unwanted electrical or electronic appliance. It is a point of concern considering that many components of such equipment are considered toxic and are not biodegradable.

mouse potato


n.

A person who spends too much time in front of a computer. It is a spinoff of the phrase "couch potato".

This word appeared originally in Gareth Branwyn's Jargon Watch column, in the January 1994 issue of Wired magazine. Original definition: The online and interactive-TV generation's answer to the couch potato.
